Overview

A combination of cabazitaxel and lapatinib that was investigated for the treatment of HER2-positive metastatic breast cancer with central nervous system (CNS) metastases. Cabazitaxel is a second-generation semisynthetic taxane that stabilizes microtubules and can cross the blood-brain barrier. Lapatinib is a small molecule tyrosine kinase inhibitor targeting both EGFR and HER2 receptors that also crosses the blood-brain barrier.
