Drug intelligence / Profile preview
This is a combination therapy consisting of cabiralizumab (an anti-CSF-1 receptor antibody), carboplatin (a platinum-based chemotherapy agent), nivolumab (an anti-PD-1 antibody), and paclitaxel (a taxane chemotherapy agent). The combination aims to target multiple aspects of cancer biology: cabiralizumab depletes immunosuppressive tumor-associated macrophages (TAMs), nivolumab blocks the PD-1 pathway to restore T-cell function, while carboplatin and paclitaxel provide cytotoxic effects against cancer cells. This combination approach is being investigated to overcome resistance to PD-1/PD-L1 inhibitors in various advanced solid tumors.
