Drug intelligence / Profile preview
This is an investigational combination regimen consisting of four drugs: cabiralizumab (a monoclonal antibody targeting colony stimulating factor 1 receptor/CSF1R), nivolumab (a PD-1 immune checkpoint inhibitor monoclonal antibody), gemcitabine (a nucleoside analog DNA synthesis inhibitor antimetabolite), and nab-paclitaxel (a nanoparticle albumin-bound formulation of the microtubule inhibitor paclitaxel). This combination is being evaluated primarily for the treatment of advanced or metastatic pancreatic cancer and potentially other solid tumors. The rationale for the regimen is targeting tumor-associated macrophages (cabiralizumab/CSF1R), reversing immunosuppression (nivolumab/PD-1), and direct cytotoxicity through chemotherapy (gemcitabine and nab-paclitaxel).
