cabotegravir + rilpivirine

**Cabotegravir + rilpivirine** is a complete, long-acting, two-drug antiretroviral regimen for maintenance treatment of **HIV-1 infection** in people with virologic suppression. Marketed in the United States as **Cabenuva**, it is supplied as co-packaged extended-release intramuscular suspensions: cabotegravir, an HIV-1 integrase strand-transfer inhibitor, and rilpivirine, a non-nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitor. The regimen is administered as separate gluteal intramuscular injections on a monthly or every-two-month schedule. Cabotegravir was developed by ViiV Healthcare and rilpivirine by Janssen; the long-acting regimen was co-developed through their collaboration.
