cAd3-EBO Z + MVA-BN Filo is a heterologous prime-boost vaccine regimen developed for the prevention of Ebola virus disease and other filovirus infections. The regimen consists of a primary dose of **cAd3-EBO Z** (a monovalent chimpanzee adenovirus type 3 vector expressing the Zaire Ebola virus glycoprotein) followed by a booster dose of **MVA-BN Filo** (a multivalent Modified Vaccinia Ankara vector expressing glycoproteins from Zaire Ebola, Sudan Ebola, and Marburg viruses, along with the Tai Forest virus nucleoprotein). This combination is designed to induce both rapid and durable humoral and cellular immune responses. The **University of Maryland, Baltimore**, served as the lead sponsor for Phase 1b clinical trials in Mali to evaluate the safety and immunogenicity of this regimen in healthy adults. The individual components were developed through collaborations involving the **NIAID Vaccine Research Center**, **GSK**, **Bavarian Nordic**, and **Janssen**.
