Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Cadonilimab + bevacizumab is a combination immunotherapy and anti-angiogenic regimen consisting of cadonilimab (AK104), a first-in-class tetravalent bispecific antibody targeting programmed cell death protein 1 (PD-1) and cytotoxic T-lymphocyte-associated antigen 4 (CTLA-4), and bevacizumab, a recombinant humanized monoclonal antibody targeting vascular endothelial growth factor A (VEGF-A). Developed by Akeso, this combination is administered intravenously, typically in conjunction with platinum-based chemotherapy. In June 2025, the combination (with or without bevacizumab) was approved by China's National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) for the first-line treatment of persistent, recurrent, or metastatic cervical cancer, based on positive results from the Phase 3 COMPASSION-16 trial. The regimen is also under clinical evaluation for other solid tumors, including microsatellite stable (MSS) metastatic colorectal cancer, non-squamous non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) with brain metastases, and unresectable pleural mesothelioma.
