Overview

Cadonilimab + chiauranib is an investigational combination of two oncology agents: cadonilimab, a bispecific monoclonal antibody targeting PD-1 and CTLA-4, and chiauranib, an oral small molecule inhibitor targeting multiple kinases (including Aurora B, VEGFR, PDGFR, c-Kit, and CSF1R). Cadonilimab enhances T cell activation and decreases immunosuppression by simultaneously blocking PD-1 and CTLA-4, key immune checkpoints involved in tumor immune evasion. Chiauranib inhibits multiple signaling pathways associated with tumor angiogenesis, cell proliferation, and immunosuppression. The combination is being studied primarily for cancers with poor prognosis and resistance to prior lines of therapy, such as extensive-stage small cell lung cancer (ES-SCLC) previously treated with platinum-based chemotherapy and PD-1/PD-L1 inhibitors.
