Cadonilimab + paclitaxel + cisplatin + carboplatin is a combination therapy regimen investigated primarily for the treatment of persistent, recurrent, or metastatic cervical cancer. Cadonilimab is a tetravalent bispecific monoclonal antibody targeting both programmed death 1 (PD-1) and cytotoxic T-lymphocyte antigen 4 (CTLA-4), designed to block the PD-1/PD-L1 and CTLA-4/B7 pathways, thereby enhancing T-cell activation and anti-tumor immune response. The Fc-null design eliminates Fc-mediated effector functions, potentially improving safety. Both paclitaxel and the platinum agents (cisplatin, carboplatin) are classic chemotherapeutic drugs; paclitaxel stabilizes microtubules and inhibits cell division, while cisplatin and carboplatin cause DNA cross-linking leading to apoptosis. This combination, evaluated in phase III trials (such as COMPASSION-16), has demonstrated increased efficacy versus chemotherapy alone, particularly in cervical cancer patients, including PD-L1-negative subgroups[1][4].
