Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Tekomol is a fixed-dose combination analgesic, antipyretic, and anti-inflammatory medication containing paracetamol (acetaminophen), diclofenac sodium, and caffeine. Developed and manufactured by Hab Pharmaceuticals and Research and its subsidiary Signature Phytochemical Industries, Tekomol is designed to provide rapid and effective relief from mild to moderate pain, fever, and inflammation. Paracetamol and diclofenac sodium act as non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) that inhibit cyclooxygenase (COX-1 and COX-2) enzymes, thereby reducing the synthesis of inflammatory prostaglandins. Caffeine acts as a central nervous system stimulant and non-selective adenosine receptor antagonist (targeting ADORA1 and ADORA2A), which enhances the analgesic efficacy of the NSAID components. Tekomol is primarily indicated for the management of headaches, musculoskeletal pain, joint pain, toothaches, and fever.
