Drug intelligence / Profile preview
A combination therapy consisting of topical calcipotriene 0.005%/betamethasone dipropionate 0.064% (Cal/BD) foam and oral apremilast for the treatment of moderate to severe plaque psoriasis. Calcipotriene is a vitamin D analog, betamethasone dipropionate is a corticosteroid, and apremilast is an oral phosphodiesterase 4 (PDE4) inhibitor. This combination approach has shown improved efficacy compared to monotherapy with either component, with most partial responders to apremilast achieving PASI 75 after adding Cal/BD foam.
