Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Calcium EG MAX is a dietary supplement developed by Euro Generics (EG) to support bone health and assist in the prevention of osteoporosis. The product features a combination of three key nutrients: elemental calcium (1000 mg), vitamin D3 (1000 IU/cholecalciferol), and vitamin K2 (75 µg/menaquinone-7). Calcium provides the essential mineral matrix for bone structure. Vitamin D3 promotes the intestinal absorption of calcium and maintains adequate serum calcium concentrations for bone mineralization. Vitamin K2 acts as a cofactor for the gamma-carboxylation of osteocalcin, a protein produced by osteoblasts that binds calcium to the bone matrix. This synergistic combination is intended for adults, particularly those with increased requirements such as the elderly or women during menopause, to maintain normal bone density and muscle function.
