Calcium D3 Nika is an oral combination drug developed and marketed by Nika Pharm in Uzbekistan. It contains calcium carbonate and cholecalciferol (vitamin D3) and is used for the prevention and treatment of calcium and vitamin D3 deficiency, as well as an adjunct therapy for osteoporosis. Calcium carbonate serves as a source of calcium, which is essential for bone formation and mineralization, while cholecalciferol enhances the intestinal absorption of calcium by binding to the vitamin D receptor (VDR). The drug is formulated as chewable tablets.
