Overview
**calmangafodipir + FOLFOX6** is a combination therapy consisting of **calmangafodipir** (a manganese-containing superoxide dismutase mimetic) administered together with the FOLFOX6 chemotherapy regimen. Calmangafodipir is studied as a supportive agent intended to reduce chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy and oxidative tissue damage. FOLFOX6 is an established chemotherapy protocol used primarily for metastatic colorectal cancer, comprising folinic acid (leucovorin), fluorouracil (5-FU), and oxaliplatin. The rationale for the combination is to mitigate oxaliplatin-induced neurotoxicity without compromising antitumor efficacy.
