Overview

Camrelizumab + capecitabine + oxaliplatin is a combination regimen used primarily as first-line therapy for advanced or metastatic gastric or gastroesophageal junction (G/GEJ) adenocarcinoma. Camrelizumab is a humanized monoclonal antibody targeting the programmed cell death protein 1 (PD-1), functioning as an immune checkpoint inhibitor to enhance antitumor immune responses. Capecitabine is an oral prodrug of 5-fluorouracil (5-FU), a pyrimidine analog that inhibits DNA synthesis in rapidly dividing cells. Oxaliplatin is a platinum-based chemotherapeutic agent that induces DNA crosslinking and apoptosis in cancer cells. The combination leverages immunotherapy with cytotoxic chemotherapy to improve response rates and survival outcomes in patients with advanced G/GEJ adenocarcinoma[2][8][1]. Clinical studies have shown this regimen achieves promising objective response rates and manageable toxicity profiles.
