Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Camrelizumab + S-1 is a combination therapy that pairs an anti-PD-1 monoclonal antibody (camrelizumab) with an oral fluoropyrimidine anticancer drug (S-1). Camrelizumab blocks the PD-1 pathway in the tumor microenvironment, which activates and reinvigorates T cells, allowing the immune system to mount an anti-tumor response. This combination has shown promising anti-tumor activity and manageable toxicity in various cancer types, particularly in gastric and gastroesophageal junction adenocarcinoma. Clinical trials have demonstrated that this combination can be effective as both a first-line and second-line treatment option.
