Canagliflozin + warfarin is a combination of two pharmaceutical drugs, each with distinct mechanisms and indications. Canagliflozin is an oral antidiabetic agent classified as a sodium-glucose co-transporter 2 (SGLT2) inhibitor. It lowers blood glucose by inhibiting SGLT2 in the kidneys, reducing glucose reabsorption and increasing urinary glucose excretion. Canagliflozin is primarily indicated for type 2 diabetes to improve glycemic control, reduce cardiovascular risk in patients with established heart disease, and slow progression of kidney disease[4][8].
