Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**canerpaturev + TS-1** is a combination chemotherapy regimen comprising an oncolytic herpes simplex virus type 1 strain (**canerpaturev**, also known as HF10) and an oral antineoplastic agent (**TS-1**). TS-1 consists of tegafur (a prodrug of 5-fluorouracil [5-FU]), gimeracil (inhibits 5-FU degradation via dihydropyrimidine dehydrogenase inhibition), and oteracil potassium (reduces gastrointestinal toxicity by inhibiting 5-FU phosphorylation locally)[2][3][4]. **Canerpaturev/HF10** is an oncolytic virus that selectively infects and lyses cancer cells, stimulating anti-tumor immunity. Combining HF10 with TS-1 has been under investigation for synergistic anti-tumor effects, particularly for advanced gastric cancer and other solid tumors[2][3][4]. TS-1 is widely used in East Asian countries, primarily for gastric, colorectal, and other solid cancers, and is formulated for oral administration[2][3][4]. Canerpaturev/HF10 is being developed as an injectable oncolytic viral therapy for solid tumors, including gastric and pancreatic cancer.
