Overview
This is a sublingual hemp-derived oil formulation containing a combination of cannabigerol (CBG) and cannabidiol (CBD), along with trace amounts of cannabichromene (CBC). It is currently being investigated by the Milton S. Hershey Medical Center in a Phase 1 clinical trial for the treatment of chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy (CIPN) in patients who have completed platinum-based chemotherapy for gastrointestinal cancers. The therapeutic rationale is based on preclinical evidence suggesting that CBG and CBD can reduce neuropathic pain. The cannabinoids interact with several biological targets, including α2A-adrenoceptors, cannabinoid receptor 1 (CB1), and cannabinoid receptor 2 (CB2). The product is marketed as a dietary supplement and is formulated with a defined cannabinoid and terpene profile.
