Drug intelligence / Profile preview
capmatinib + osimertinib is a combination therapy for advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) with specific genetic alterations. Osimertinib is a third-generation EGFR tyrosine kinase inhibitor, and capmatinib is a selective MET tyrosine kinase inhibitor. The combination targets both EGFR and MET signaling pathways, which are commonly implicated in NSCLC progression and resistance to single-agent targeted therapies. This approach aims to overcome resistance mechanisms such as MET amplification or activating mutations that emerge during treatment with EGFR inhibitors.
