Capmatinib is a small molecule MET inhibitor that targets dysregulated MET signaling in cancer cells. Spartalizumab is a monoclonal antibody targeting programmed cell death protein 1 (PD-1), an immune checkpoint receptor. The combination of capmatinib and spartalizumab has been investigated for its potential to provide synergistic clinical benefit by simultaneously inhibiting oncogenic MET signaling and enhancing anti-tumor immune responses through PD-1 blockade[2][3][5]. This combination has been studied in advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) with MET exon 14 skipping mutations, as well as in advanced hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) after prior sorafenib treatment[1][2][3].
