Drug intelligence / Profile preview
CAPOX + FOLFOX refers to two distinct chemotherapy regimens used primarily for colorectal cancer treatment. CAPOX combines capecitabine (oral) and oxaliplatin (IV), while FOLFOX combines folinic acid (leucovorin), fluorouracil (5-FU), and oxaliplatin. Both regimens target rapidly dividing cancer cells but through slightly different administration methods. FOLFOX is administered entirely intravenously in a clinical setting, while CAPOX allows patients to take capecitabine tablets at home with only oxaliplatin administered in the hospital.
