Overview

CAR-T cell therapy (First Affiliated Hospital of Harbin Medical University) is an investigational cell-based immunotherapy designed for the treatment of pancreatic cancer. This program utilizes T cells genetically engineered to express chimeric antigen receptors (CARs) that target specific tumor-associated antigens frequently overexpressed in pancreatic malignancies, including Mesothelin (MSLN), Prostate Stem Cell Antigen (PSCA), Carcinoembryonic Antigen (CEA), Human Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor 2 (HER2), Mucin 1 (MUC1), and Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor variant III (EGFRvIII). The therapy aims to harness the patient's immune system to recognize and destroy malignant cells overexpressing these markers. It is currently being evaluated in a Phase 1 clinical trial (NCT02706405) to determine its safety profile and therapeutic efficacy in patients with advanced or metastatic pancreatic cancer.
