Overview

This refers to the chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy evaluated in Treatment Arm III of the Glo-BNHL trial (NCT05541822). Glo-BNHL is an international, multicentre, adaptive phase 2/3 platform clinical trial coordinated by the University of Birmingham and the Cancer Research UK Clinical Trials Unit. The study is designed to evaluate novel therapeutic agents in children, adolescents, and young adults with relapsed or refractory B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma (B-NHL). While the trial includes other arms for agents such as odronextamab and loncastuximab tesirine, Arm III specifically investigates the efficacy of a CAR T-cell product. As of the trial's initiation, the specific CAR T-cell product and its manufacturer were not publicly disclosed, as procurement negotiations were reported to be ongoing. The therapy involves engineering a patient's T-cells to express a receptor that targets specific tumor antigens, potentially administered following or in conjunction with a modified R-ICE chemotherapy backbone.
