Overview

This refers to an investigational autologous chimeric antigen receptor T-cell (CAR-T) therapy developed and studied by the Institute of Hematology & Blood Diseases Hospital, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences. The therapy is specifically being evaluated as a consolidation treatment for adult patients with newly diagnosed Philadelphia chromosome-negative (Ph-) B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (B-ALL) who have achieved complete remission following induction chemotherapy. By utilizing CAR-T cells to target residual leukemic cells, the treatment aims to deepen molecular remission (MRD negativity), reduce the necessity for prolonged intensive chemotherapy, and improve long-term disease-free survival. In clinical trial settings, it is often studied in combination with other agents such as venetoclax to enhance efficacy.
