This is a combination chemotherapy regimen used primarily in the treatment of triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC). The regimen consists of four cytotoxic agents with different mechanisms of action: carboplatin (a platinum-based agent), cyclophosphamide (an alkylating agent), epirubicin (an anthracycline), and paclitaxel (a taxane). Various administration schedules have been studied, including dose-dense regimens with granulocyte colony-stimulating factor (G-CSF) support. Clinical trials have shown that specific combinations of these agents can improve disease-free survival and overall survival in patients with early-stage TNBC compared to other regimens.
