Overview

This is a combination therapy used in the treatment of HER2-positive breast cancer. The regimen combines several anti-cancer agents with different mechanisms of action: 1. Carboplatin: A platinum-based chemotherapy agent 2. Docetaxel: A taxane chemotherapy agent 3. Nab-paclitaxel: An albumin-bound formulation of paclitaxel (another taxane) 4. Pertuzumab: A monoclonal antibody targeting HER2 dimerization domain II 5. Trastuzumab: A monoclonal antibody targeting a different epitope of HER2 The combination provides dual HER2 blockade (pertuzumab and trastuzumab) along with cytotoxic chemotherapy agents. Clinical trials have shown that this combination can be effective in treating HER2-positive breast cancer, particularly in neoadjuvant settings.
