This is a combination regimen consisting of three agents: - **Carboplatin** is a platinum-based chemotherapeutic agent that forms DNA crosslinks, leading to apoptosis in rapidly dividing cells. It is commonly used in the treatment of various solid tumors. - **Docetaxel** is a taxane-class chemotherapeutic that promotes and stabilizes microtubule assembly, inhibiting cell division and inducing apoptosis. It is widely used for cancers such as breast, lung, prostate, and others. - **Tislelizumab** is a humanized IgG4 monoclonal antibody targeting programmed cell death protein 1 (PD-1) on T cells. By blocking PD-1 interaction with its ligands (PD-L1/PD-L2), tislelizumab restores T-cell function and enhances immune-mediated antitumor activity. It was engineered to minimize Fcγ receptor binding on macrophages to reduce resistance mechanisms[1][2][3][5]. The combination of these drugs leverages both cytotoxic chemotherapy (carboplatin and docetaxel) and immune checkpoint inhibition (tislelizumab), aiming for synergistic antitumor effects—chemotherapy induces tumor cell death while immunotherapy enhances the immune response against cancer cells.
