Overview

This is a combination therapy consisting of carboplatin, etrumadenant (AB928), and pemetrexed. It is being investigated for the treatment of non-squamous non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Etrumadenant is an adenosine receptor antagonist, while carboplatin and pemetrexed are established chemotherapy agents. Carboplatin is a platinum-based chemotherapy that forms DNA crosslinks, and pemetrexed is an antifolate that inhibits multiple enzymes involved in folate metabolism and DNA synthesis. This combination may be administered with or without an anti-PD-1 antibody (pembrolizumab or zimberelimab) in clinical trials.
