Drug intelligence / Profile preview
A combination therapy consisting of carboplatin, gemcitabine, and trilaciclib. Trilaciclib is an intravenous cyclin-dependent kinase 4/6 (CDK4/6) inhibitor that induces transient cell cycle arrest of hematopoietic stem and progenitor cells and immune cells during chemotherapy exposure, protecting them from chemotherapy-induced damage and potentially enhancing immune activity. Carboplatin and gemcitabine are cytotoxic chemotherapy agents. This combination is primarily being investigated for the treatment of metastatic triple-negative breast cancer.
