Overview

This is a combination regimen consisting of three agents: - **Carboplatin** is a platinum-based chemotherapy that causes DNA crosslinking and apoptosis in rapidly dividing cells. - **Lumretuzumab** is a humanized monoclonal antibody targeting the HER3 (ERBB3) receptor, inhibiting its signaling and thereby blocking tumor cell growth driven by this pathway. - **Paclitaxel** is a microtubule-stabilizing agent that inhibits cell division by preventing microtubule depolymerization. The combination of carboplatin and paclitaxel forms the backbone of chemotherapy for several solid tumors, including ovarian, lung, endometrial, cervical, and head & neck cancers[1][4][5][6]. Lumretuzumab has been investigated as an add-on targeted therapy in various clinical trials for HER3-expressing cancers. The rationale for combining these drugs is to leverage both cytotoxic (carboplatin/paclitaxel) and targeted (lumretuzumab) mechanisms to improve antitumor efficacy.
