Drug intelligence / Profile preview
A combination therapy consisting of two chemotherapy drugs (carboplatin and paclitaxel) and a targeted monoclonal antibody (panitumumab). Carboplatin is a platinum-based chemotherapy that forms DNA crosslinks, preventing DNA repair. Paclitaxel is a taxane that stabilizes microtubules, preventing cell division. Panitumumab is a fully human IgG2 monoclonal antibody that targets the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR), blocking ligand binding and inhibiting tumor growth.
