Drug intelligence / Profile preview
A combination therapy consisting of carboplatin, paclitaxel, and talactoferrin (recombinant human lactoferrin). This combination was investigated for the treatment of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). In Phase II trials, adding talactoferrin to standard carboplatin/paclitaxel chemotherapy showed improved response rates and trends toward longer progression-free survival and overall survival with fewer adverse events compared to carboplatin/paclitaxel alone.
