This is a combination therapy consisting of cardonizumab (also referred to as candenizumab in some sources), lenvatinib, and the SOX chemotherapy regimen. Cardonizumab is presumed to be an immune checkpoint inhibitor, likely a monoclonal antibody targeting PD-1 or CTLA-4 based on naming conventions and its use in immunotherapy combinations. Lenvatinib is a small molecule multi-targeted tyrosine kinase inhibitor that blocks VEGFR1-3, FGFR1-4, PDGFRα, RET, and KIT signaling pathways to inhibit tumor angiogenesis and proliferation. The SOX regimen consists of S-1 (an oral fluoropyrimidine derivative containing tegafur, gimeracil, and oteracil) plus oxaliplatin (a platinum-based chemotherapeutic). Both S-1 and oxaliplatin are cytotoxic agents commonly used in gastrointestinal cancers. This combination is being investigated for the treatment of HER2-negative advanced gastric or gastroesophageal junction adenocarcinoma[1][3]. The rationale for this combination lies in leveraging immune checkpoint blockade with antiangiogenic therapy and cytotoxic chemotherapy to enhance antitumor efficacy.
