Overview

This is a combination therapy consisting of carleilizumab, a humanized monoclonal antibody targeting the programmed death-1 (PD-1) receptor, and paclitaxel (albumin-bound), an antimicrotubule agent formulated as nanoparticles bound to human albumin. Carleilizumab acts as an immune checkpoint inhibitor by blocking PD-1 on T cells, thereby enhancing anti-tumor immune responses. Paclitaxel (albumin-bound), also known as nab-paclitaxel or Abraxane, disrupts microtubule function in cancer cells, inhibiting cell division and promoting apoptosis. The albumin-bound formulation allows for higher dosing and improved tumor delivery compared to conventional solvent-based paclitaxel[3][5][6][7]. This combination is under investigation for various solid tumors.
