Carotuximab + capecitabine is a **combination therapy** composed of carotuximab, a chimeric IgG1 monoclonal antibody targeting endoglin (CD105), and capecitabine, an oral prodrug of 5-fluorouracil. **Carotuximab** binds CD105, a TGF-β co-receptor highly expressed on proliferating tumor endothelium, inhibiting angiogenesis and inducing antibody-dependent cell-mediated cytotoxicity (ADCC). **Capecitabine** is an antimetabolite that is enzymatically converted to 5-fluorouracil, ultimately inhibiting thymidylate synthase and interfering with DNA synthesis. The combination is investigational and studied for possible synergistic effects by simultaneously inhibiting tumor angiogenesis and tumor cell proliferation. Currently, no definitive evidence addresses the efficacy or approval status of this exact combination in clinical practice.
