Overview

Carrelizumab + TCb is a combination therapy used in oncology, particularly for the treatment of certain cancers. Carrelizumab is a monoclonal antibody that targets the programmed cell death protein 1 (PD-1) receptor on T cells, functioning as an immune checkpoint inhibitor to enhance anti-tumor immune responses. "TCb" refers to a chemotherapy regimen consisting of paclitaxel (T), carboplatin (C), and sometimes another agent such as bevacizumab or trastuzumab depending on context; however, most commonly in Chinese clinical practice and literature, "TCb" denotes paclitaxel plus carboplatin. The combination leverages both immunotherapy (carrelizumab) and cytotoxic chemotherapy (TCb) to improve cancer cell killing by both direct cytotoxic effects and immune-mediated mechanisms.
