Overview

A combination therapy consisting of carvedilol (a non-selective beta-adrenergic antagonist), enalapril (an ACE inhibitor), and trastuzumab (a monoclonal antibody). This combination is used in clinical settings where trastuzumab is administered for HER2-positive breast cancer treatment, with carvedilol and enalapril added to prevent or reduce trastuzumab-induced cardiotoxicity. Clinical trials like OVERCOME have shown that this combination may prevent left ventricular systolic dysfunction in patients treated with high-dose chemotherapy regimens.
