A dental remineralizing and desensitizing agent combining Casein Phosphopeptide-Amorphous Calcium Phosphate (CPP-ACP) with stannous fluoride (SnF2). CPP-ACP acts as a calcium and phosphate reservoir, maintaining a supersaturated state of these ions at the tooth surface to promote remineralization and occlude dentinal tubules. Stannous fluoride provides additional fluoride ions for fluorapatite formation and exhibits antimicrobial properties while also contributing to tubule occlusion through the deposition of tin-rich precipitates. This combination is specifically being evaluated by the Universidade Federal do Para for its efficacy in reducing tooth sensitivity following in-office dental bleaching procedures using high-concentration hydrogen peroxide.
