Overview

cB72.3(γ1) is a **chimeric mouse/human monoclonal antibody** constructed by fusing the variable regions of the murine B72.3 antibody, which targets TAG-72 (tumor-associated glycoprotein 72), with the constant region (γ1, or IgG1) of human immunoglobulin G. This results in an antibody designed to combine the TAG-72-binding specificity of B72.3 with human IgG1 effector functions. cB72.3(γ1) shows **enhanced antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity (ADCC)** compared to its murine predecessor and has shown the ability to efficiently localize to human tumor xenografts in preclinical studies. TAG-72 is overexpressed on a range of adenocarcinomas (e.g., colon, ovarian, breast). The antibody is proposed as a therapeutic and diagnostic tool, with improved compatibility for use in humans due to its chimeric structure[1][2][3].
