CBCD34+-NK cells are ex vivo expanded and differentiated natural killer (NK) cells generated from CD34+ hematopoietic stem and progenitor cells, typically isolated from umbilical cord blood[4][5][7]. These cell products are developed for adoptive cell immunotherapy, particularly for cancer and hematologic malignancies. NK cells produced in this way can exhibit cytolytic activity against tumor cells and are capable of rapid cytokine production (including interferon-γ and tumor necrosis factor-α) upon activation[4][7][5]. These cells are expanded using culture systems supplemented with cytokines such as IL-2 and IL-15, and they are intended for allogeneic use in immunotherapy applications[4][5][7]. Ex vivo produced CBCD34+-NK cells are functionally active, can be manufactured in large quantities, and are considered for "off-the-shelf" use due to their availability and standardized characteristics[4][5].
