**CC-90011 + cisplatin + etoposide** is a combination regimen evaluated primarily for the treatment of extensive-stage small cell lung cancer (ES SCLC)[2]. CC-90011 is an oral, potent, selective, and reversible inhibitor of lysine-specific demethylase 1 (LSD1/KDM1A), a critical epigenetic regulator implicated in oncogenesis. Cisplatin and etoposide are well-established cytotoxic chemotherapy agents (cisplatin is a DNA crosslinker, etoposide inhibits DNA topoisomerase II), widely used as backbone therapy for small cell lung cancer[2][3]. The combination is designed to leverage the targeted epigenetic inhibition of LSD1 by CC-90011 (disrupting tumor suppressive gene silencing, reducing neuroendocrine peptide secretion, and inhibiting proliferation) together with DNA-damaging and replication-inhibiting effects of platinum-based chemotherapy[3]. Developed and tested by Bristol Myers Squibb, this regimen has been investigated for improved efficacy and tolerability over standard chemotherapy alone in first-line ES SCLC[2].
