Overview

CCNU + doxorubicin is a combination chemotherapy protocol used primarily in veterinary medicine, especially for treating canine histiocytic sarcoma and certain types of lymphoma. This protocol involves alternating administration of lomustine (CCNU) and doxorubicin, typically every 2 weeks. The protocol works by attacking cancer cells through different mechanisms simultaneously, potentially increasing efficacy compared to single-agent treatments. The combination consists of two distinct chemotherapy agents: Lomustine (CCNU), an alkylating agent, administered orally; and Doxorubicin, a commonly used chemotherapy drug, administered intravenously.
