Drug intelligence / Profile preview
CCT-001 is an investigational small interfering RNA (siRNA) therapeutic being developed by Canary Cure for the treatment of metabolic disorders. The drug targets the endocannabinoid system and specific energy expenditure pathways to promote the browning or beigeing of white adipose tissue. By inducing this phenotypic switch in fat cells, CCT-001 aims to increase metabolic rate and energy consumption. Uniquely for an siRNA modality, CCT-001 is designed for oral administration with a monthly dosing schedule. It is currently in the preclinical stage of development, with ongoing efforts in lead optimization and IND-enabling studies.
