CCX354-C + methotrexate is an investigational combination therapy evaluated for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis (RA). CCX354-C is a selective, orally administered antagonist of the C-C chemokine receptor 1 (CCR1) that inhibits the recruitment of monocytes and macrophages into inflamed synovial tissue—mechanisms believed central to RA pathogenesis[2][1][3]. Methotrexate is a well-established first-line disease-modifying antirheumatic drug (DMARD) that inhibits nucleotide synthesis enzymes, suppressing inflammation and cell division[5].
