CD123 targeted CAR-NK cells (specifically PBC065) is an investigational chimeric antigen receptor natural killer (CAR-NK) cell therapy being developed by Chongqing Precision Biotech. It targets CD123, also known as the interleukin-3 receptor alpha subunit, which is frequently overexpressed in various hematologic malignancies, including acute myeloid leukemia (AML) and blastic plasmacytoid dendritic cell neoplasm (BPDCN). By engineering NK cells to express a CAR specific for CD123, the therapy aims to provide a potent, targeted anti-tumor response while potentially offering a better safety profile and off-the-shelf availability compared to traditional CAR-T cell therapies. It is currently being evaluated in Phase 1/2 clinical trials for relapsed or refractory AML and BPDCN.
