Drug intelligence / Profile preview
CD19 CAR T (Shanghai Tong Ren Hospital) is an autologous chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy designed to treat relapsed or refractory CD19-positive B-cell malignancies, including B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (B-ALL) and various B-cell lymphomas. The therapy utilizes a lentiviral vector to engineer a patient's own T cells to express a second-generation CAR construct. This construct features an anti-CD19 single-chain variable fragment (scFv) for antigen recognition, coupled with CD28 costimulatory and CD3-zeta signaling domains to facilitate T-cell activation, proliferation, and cytotoxic activity upon binding to CD19-expressing tumor cells.
