CD19 CAR-T cells (Jiang Jingting) refers to an investigational second-generation chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy developed by Jingting Jiang's team at Soochow University. The therapy utilizes allogeneic T-cells engineered with a viral vector to express a CAR targeting the CD19 antigen, which is widely expressed on B-cell malignancies. The CAR construct incorporates a CD28 costimulatory domain and a CD3ζ (TCRζ) signaling domain to enhance T-cell activation and survival. A distinctive feature of this research program is the clinical evaluation of different cytokine expansion protocols—specifically comparing IL-2 pre-treatment against a combination of IL-7 and IL-15—to optimize the safety, expansion, and clinical efficacy of the CAR-T cells in patients with chemotherapy-resistant or refractory CD19+ B-cell lymphoma.
