CD19 CAR-T cells (Zhujiang Hospital) is an investigational autologous chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy developed by Zhujiang Hospital. The treatment involves the genetic modification of a patient's T cells to express a CAR that specifically targets the CD19 antigen, a protein consistently expressed on B-lineage cells. Once re-infused, these engineered T cells recognize and eliminate CD19-positive malignant cells. This specific program is being evaluated as a consolidation therapy for adolescent and adult patients with acute B-lymphoblastic leukemia (B-ALL) who are in remission but cannot undergo allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation due to factors such as age, comorbidities, or lack of a suitable donor.
