CD70 CAR T-cells (Zhejiang University) is an investigational autologous chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy designed to target the CD70 antigen. CD70, a member of the tumor necrosis factor (TNF) superfamily, is frequently overexpressed in various hematologic malignancies, including acute myeloid leukemia (AML), non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL), and multiple myeloma (MM), while maintaining restricted expression in healthy tissues. The therapy involves the ex vivo genetic modification of a patient's T-cells to express a CAR specific for CD70. Upon re-infusion, these engineered cells identify and bind to CD70-positive tumor cells, leading to T-cell activation, cytokine release, and targeted cytotoxicity. Zhejiang University is currently conducting an early Phase 1 clinical trial to evaluate the safety, tolerability, and preliminary efficacy of this cell-based biologic in patients with relapsed or refractory CD70-positive hematologic cancers.
