Overview

CDX-1307 + chemotherapy is a combination regimen involving the cancer vaccine CDX-1307, which is a fusion protein consisting of a human monoclonal antibody targeting the mannose receptor, fused to the human chorionic gonadotropin-beta (hCG-β) chain. The vaccine is designed to generate a specific immune response against hCG-β, an oncofetal antigen expressed in several epithelial cancers (including bladder, breast, colorectal, pancreatic, and ovarian cancers). In clinical trials, CDX-1307 has been administered alongside standard-of-care chemotherapy and immune stimulants (such as GM-CSF, poly-ICLC, and resiquimod), especially in the context of newly diagnosed, muscle-invasive bladder cancer. The aim is to induce anti-tumor immune responses while standard chemotherapy serves to reduce tumor burden; this approach is thought to capitalize on vaccine-driven priming of immune responses in a setting of minimal residual disease[1][4][5][7].
